
Volunteer Coordinator

Hours per week: Fall: 8 - 10 | Spring: 10 - 15
Each year, CMU International Film Festival meets an enthusiastic community of patrons of all ages who are interested in increasing their involvement with the Festival. For the 2023-2024 Festival we are piloting a Volunteer Coordinator Internship responsible for strengthening the relationships with our patron community and providing opportunities for participation in the festival with a casual level of commitment. The CMU IFF Volunteer Coordinator Interns are responsible for the recruitment and management of a volunteer corps who will assist in the set-up, take-down, ticketing, fundraising and promotion of the Film Festival. The volunteer coordinator will be responsible for the organization of special volunteer appreciation events and the coordination of a special incentive program to increase the engagement of CMU IFF’s volunteer corps. The volunteer coordinator will also need to develop and maintain an accurate hours-tracking system for internal and external reporting.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in Volunteer Coordination
An Enthusiasm for Inclusion of all types of interested people.
An ability to manage a list of contacts with timely updates.
Excellent organizational skills
A willingness to listen, report, and encourage new ideas from Festival Volunteers
